What's New!

A Warm Welcome

With Elul Zman underway, we are proud to welcome a new family to our vibrant team: R' Shaya and Sara Wolf. The Wolf family have spent the past few years living in Eretz Yisroel, where R’ Shaya has studied in some of the most prestigious Torah institutions. In addition to the wonderful contribution he brings with his advanced learning calibre, R’ Shaya and Sara are deeply committed and inspired to using their many talents to enhance our wonderful kehilla.
We are also delighted to welcome the Rosh Kollel and his Rebbetzen to their new home here in Amsterdam. This is a meaningful milestone for the Kollel and an exciting moment for the entire community. May they settle in smoothly, and we wish them brocha and simcha in their new home.

Seder Hayom

This Zman the Kollel will continue its study of Meseches Eiruvin, focusing in the morning on the ninth perek b’iyun (in-depth) and in the afternoon on the fifth perek. Together with our weekend halacha program, this will enable the Avreichim to conclude their study of the Masechta with a broad knowledge of the laws of Eiruvin and their practical application.

Learning Throughout the Community

Aside from the dynamic learning atmosphere throughout the day under the invigorating and inspiring guidance of our new Rosh Kollel, the Avreichim spend numerous hours in one-to-one learning sessions and delivering shiurim throughout the week. Everyone is welcome to get in touch to discover more learning opportunities suited to all interests and levels of learning either by emailing the Kollel or by contacting R' Yisroel Meir Inglis directly.

We have also launched a program over Friday and Shabbos where the Avreichim learn the practical halachos of Eiruvin relevant to the sugyos they are learning. This takes place in the Cheider alongside an exciting new learning program with the high school boys.

Community Programmes

The Avreichim and their wives have also been active with many different social initiatives to enhance Jewish life in the community.
R' Moishe Bald has spearheaded weekly social programs and Shabbos activities for high school boys, both of which have been warmly received.  A popular Sunday juggling club for boys now takes place each week, led by R' Meir Katz.

Neshei AMS

The Kollel Neshei have been very busy with communal events and Shabbos hospitality, amongst other initiatives, including a recent sourdough workshop led by Mrs. Neomi Inglis which was well attended. As part of Rabbi and Mrs. Katz's ongoing role in the Bendigamos community, Mrs. Bassi Katz has also led several enjoyable programs for ladies in her home.

All this and much more is happening at The Amsterdam Community Kollel!

Communal Kumzitz

On Monday evening, the Kollel organised a beautiful and inspiring kumzitz

led by R’ Meir Katz,  that was well attended by members of the community.

Through uplifting singing and words of inspiration from Rav Shmuel Katz, the evening was a opportunity for everyone to come together and was enjoyed by all.
